You cause a written statement of any kind or size that you can touch to become as complicated as possible, or as simple as possible. Any number of words can be added, adjusted, or removed so long as the nature of the statement is not lost. You may also cast this on any creature, willing or unwilling, so long as it is capable of communicating in any fashion. If the target is unwilling, it can make a Charisma saving throw. On a success, the spell has no effect.
Complicate. The content of a written statement is inflated and edited as much as possible without losing its' meaning, within the surface area of the material it is written on, and within the legibility of the text to the naked eye. When successfully cast on a creature, the next statement it makes will be effected in the same way. The following statement must be stretched out as much as possible within the creature's intellect, if their vocabulary is sufficiently exhausted and the meaning of the statement has not been lost, they will be able to complete their statement. The effect of the spell ends as soon as the affected creature completes it's statement.
Simplify. The content of a written statement is reduced and edited as much as possible without losing its' meaning, whether or not the text increases in size to fill the limits of the surface it is written on is up to the caster. When successfully cast on a creature, the next statement it makes will be effected in the same way. The following statement must be reduced as much as possible within the creature's intellect, or lack thereof. Once the statement has been uttered after becoming as dumbed-down as possible, the effect of the spell ends.
The effect of this spell on the written word is permanent and can only be undone by a Wish spell, or by simply redoing the statement.
