By touching a suit of armor or a weapon for the casting time, you infuse it with a semblance of intelligence, creating Animated Armor or a Flying Sword (change statistics based on weapon animated.)
The construct created follows your orders to the best of its ability. Absent orders in combat, it will defend itself.
You can animate only one object per casting of this spell and can have up to four objects animated at a time.
If the Mending cantrip is cast on a construct created by this spell, it regains 2d6 hit points.
Before the duration runs out, you can recast this spell using a level 3 spell slot to reassert control over up to 4 constructs you control. If the duration runs out, the magic animating the objects dissipates, leaving them inanimate. If a construct is reduced to zero hit points, it is too damaged to be of any use.
At higher levels, when you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the number of constructs you can create and control increases by one per spell slot level.
