Arcing Bolt

You hurl lighting at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target suffers 1d6 lighting damage, and lighting arcs from the target to a different creature of your choice that you can see within 15 feet of it. The second creature takes lighting damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.

This spell’s damage increases when you reach higher levels. At 5th level, the ranged spell attack deals an extra 1d6 lighting damage to the target, and the lighting damage to the second creature increases to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier. Both damage rolls increase by 1d6 at 11th level and 17th level.
