With this special ten-minute long ritual you can remove some of another willing creature's most recent memories: generally allowing for the removal of a traumatic event, an unintentionally learned secret, or some kind of dark thought. Together you--and your willing participant--must mutually decide what portions of the last 24 hours are removed from the target's memories.
If the ritual ends before you have finished, the target's memories aren't altered. Otherwise, the memories vanish when the spell ends and the target is incapable of forming memories for a period equal to what was just removed. This generally manifests as a gap or period of unaccounted for unconsciousness and is highly disconcerting for targets who do not retain prior memory of how this spell functions.
A greater restoration spell cast on the target restores the creature's memory.
