The caster targets 1 creature, which then must make a Charisma saving throw*. On a success, the target resists the effects of the spell. On a failure, the target falls under the voodoo's influence. On each of the caster's subsequent turns, the caster can use a bonus action to attempt to use one of the Voodoo Tortures described below. For each effect, the target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a success, the Torture does not occur. On a failure, it occurs as described.
Voodoo Tortures:
Piercing Needle: On a failed save, the target takes 2d6 piercing or psychic damage (caster chooses damage type)
Slashing Knife: On a failed save the target takes 2d6 slashing or psychic damage (caster chooses damage type)
Bludgeoning Fist: On a failed save the target takes 2d6 bludgeoning or psychic damage (caster chooses damage type)
Burning Pain: On a failed save the target takes 2d6 fire damage or psychic damage (caster chooses damage type).
Go to Hell: The caster completely burns the doll, thus ending the spell and destroying all material components of the spell. The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a success, the target takes half damage. On a failure, the target suffers 6d6 fire or psychic damage (caster chooses damage type)
Severing Limb: On a failed save the target has disadvantage on its next non-spell attack roll or the target has its movement speed reduced by half.
At Increased Levels: Damage increases by 1d6 for every 2 spells slots expended above level 3rd (i.e. 3d6 for a 5th level slot, 4d6 for a 7th level slot...). For every 2 spells slots above 3rd that are expended, the target's speed can be lowered by an additional 10 feet down to zero, and you can cause one more non-spell attack roll to be at disadvantage (i.e., if a target has movement of 30 ft, you could reduce their speed to 5 ft if you use the spell at 5th level. Another example, if the target has 2 melee attack, both could be forced to be at disadvantage if you cast the spell at 5th level).
*The doll used for this spell can be prepared in advance, so it does not have to look exactly like the target. Thus, a doll can be prepared before a battle and then a piece of the target can be obtained during a fight.
* - (A doll which requires one hour of magic enchantment prior to use, one of the following from the specific target: blood, hair, fingernail, skin, or tooth)

Posted Mar 3, 2020I meant to add this to the spell, but accidentally published it before I could. If the target is out of line of sight, they have advantage on the first Charisma saving throw and all others.
