Performing the ritualistic gesture of reaching behind your back, you temporarily materialize an item. When you cast this, roll a d20 and check the list below (or ask your DM). The corresponding item appears in the hand you put behind your back, from out of thin air. It remains on the Material plane for 2 rounds (12 seconds), dissipating in a cloud of smoke at the end of the duration. You may dismiss the item early as a reaction.

Weapons conjured by the spell use your spellcasting modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You may only have one item created by this spell at a time, automatically banishing the oldest item created.

  1. a snake, which materializes in your trousers instead of your hand.
  2. a set of undergarments.
  3. a banana peel.
  4. a blowgun, loaded with 1 poison dart that deals (1d4) poison damage.
  5. a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate.
  6. a live duck.
  7. a harp.
  8. a hat of your description, worth no more than 2gp.
  9. a hunting trap.
  10. a lit stick of dynamite, which explodes at the end of this spell's duration (maximum 30 seconds). (Dungeon Master's Guide p. 268)
  11. a pair of scissors.
  12. a parasol.
  13. a live rabbit.
  14. a rubber toy, which squeaks when pressed.
  15. a spring-loaded toy which plays a joyful melody over the duration of this spell (maximum 30 seconds). At the end of the melody, the toy springs out.
  16. a tin can of vegetable matter.
  17. a whipped-cream pie.
  18. a piece of paper. Whatever you say as the verbal component for this spell is written on the paper.
  19. a magical wooden mallet (maul). You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
  20. an anvil or anchor (your choice).

Using any material created by this spell as another spell’s material component causes that spell to fail, with an audible “womp, womp, womp!”

As a Spell; At Higher Levels. Casting this as a spell instead of a cantrip extends the time the item remains on the Material plane and allows you to choose which item materializes. When you cast this with a spell slot of 1st level or higher, you increase the time the item is materialized by an additional 12 seconds for each slot level above 1st. If this is cast at a 4th level or higher, the item does not dissipate until you use this spell again or dismiss the item.
