A burst of healing energy blooms into existence in a 15-foot radius sphere centered on a point you can see within range. Up to four creatures of your choice within the area each regain hit points equal to 2d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier. Any creature that has more than 0 hit points when it is affected by this spell also gains temporary hit points equal to your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum of one).
This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the temporary hit points gained increases by 2 and the healing increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
This is a fun spell, though, I think it may need a little rework? It'd be fun if the life spring stayed around for a minute and acted like a spot people with low health could run to to recover for a bit, and if it also had the beacon of hope feature of functionally giving additional healing, I think that'd be cool. I'm not sure, as it stands though I think it's worse than mass healing word. Maybe there's something I'm missing, I just like a lot of your other homebrew and felt like this was really close to being a fun spell.
Life Spring is available to more classes than Mass Healing Word is, which is important to consider. Mass Healing Word is one of the most powerful healing spells for its level, and we don't really want to make spells that are more powerful than that.
It sounds like the spell you're looking for might be Zone of Restoration, another one of our spells :)
