Your knowledge of story allows you to take on the avatar form of a figure from myth and epic. Until the spell ends, you can’t cast spells, and you choose one of the following forms:
Avatar of Achilles:
- You gain 15 temporary hit points. If any of these remain when the spell ends, they are lost.
- Your movement speed is doubled.
- You have advantage on attack rolls that you make with simple and martial weapons.
- When you hit a target with a weapon attack, that target takes an extra 1d8 force damage.
- You can attack thrice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn. This benefit overrides a feature, like Extra Attack, that gives you extra attacks.
Avatar of Beelzebub
- You gain 25 temporary hit points. If any of these remain when the spell ends, they are lost.
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
- You gain resistance to fire damage.
- Your fists ignite in fiendish flame. Melee attacks made with them use your spellcasting modifier, and deal 3d6 fire damage.
- You have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
- You can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn. You ignore this benefit if you already have a feature, like Extra Attack, that gives you extra attacks.
Avatar of Guan Yu
- You gain 25 temporary hit points. If any of these remain when the spell ends, they are lost.
- A glaive, which you are proficient with, appears in your hands. The glaive deals 2d8 force damage. Attacks with this weapon use your spellcasting modifier.
- You have advantage on Wisdom saving throws.
- You can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn. You ignore this benefit if you already have a feature, like Extra Attack, that gives you extra attacks.
Avatar of Loki (lasts for 10 minutes)
- You gain advantage on Charisma checks.
- When you roll a Deception check, treat any roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
- No matter what you say, any magic that would determine if you are telling the truth indicates that you are being truthful.
- You have advantage on Charisma saving throws.
Avatar of Sun Wukong (lasts for three rounds, or 20 seconds outside of combat)
- You gain 50 temporary hitpoints. If any of these remain after the spell ends, they are lost.
- You gain advantage on all checks, attack rolls, and saving throws.
- Attack rolls against you have disadvantage.
- You gain resistance to all damage.
- You gain proficiency in unarmed attacks, your fists use your spell attack bonus and deal 4d8 plus your spellcasting modifier force damage.
- You can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn. You ignore this benefit if you already have a feature, like Extra Attack, that gives you extra attacks.
Immediately after the spell ends, you suffer one level of exhaustion, except in the case of the Sun Wukong avatar, which incurs three levels of exhaustion.
