Choose a point within range you can see. The air around that area suddenly cools down significantly and the moisture in the area freezes over. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a constitution saving throw. A target takes 6d6 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save, the creature is frozen solid. The frozen creatures are considered petrified for the duration of the spell. A frozen creature can repeat its saving throw at the end of their turn, ending the effect on a success.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
