For 12 hours, the user gains invisible tendrils that will gradually siphon the excess life force of those around them. This spell will fill the obsidian stone with the essence of souls to be used at a later time. It is a concentration spell.

Focusing on a target for ten minutes will slowly drain their excess life-energy (aura) to infuse one of the obsidian stones in your inventory. Doing this will not be noticeable unless someone with Truesight or See Invisibility spells. These tendrils can reach up to 20 ft. Each 10 minute increment of unnoticed absorbing fills a stone by 5% (10% at 6th level, 15% at 8th).

You may use a bonus action while this is active to attack and deal 1d6 necrotic damage to a target within 20 feet. This will be noticed as the target feels their life pulled toward you.

If you the target dies on a turn you used the bonus action (or you can use it after it dies) you will draw the soul into the stone. You may also use your reaction to draw in a fresh kill. You may only draw in one soul per round of combat. Absorbing part of soul's essence fills the stone 20% (40% at 6th, 60% at 8th).

A filled stone may be used for the following. Using it will empty the stone and shatter it. Work with your DM to discover new uses for the stones.

- Replace one component of a spell worth 500g or less (Can stack the effect)

- Set the soul stone to revive you. Should you die, it will activate and stabilize you; though you remain unconscious. Once chosen, the stone cannot be used for other options

- Use a filled stone to unleash a free spell you know of 2nd level or lower. (Can stack the effect)

- Use three filled jewels to bring one creature back from the dead; offering the all the collected energy for the single soul. The creature may not be dead for more than a week or destroyed beyond repair.

* - (Obsidian stone worth 100g (at least one) )
