Choose an undead creature you can see within range. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be affected for the duration.
On a failure, if the creature has the “Incorporeal Movement” trait then this trait ceases to function and the following changes apply:
- It loses any flying speed it has unless it has some other means of flight, such as a racial or class ability it had in life. It also gains a walking speed appropriate to its race in life, or 30 feet if no race was specified.
- Any immunity to cold or necrotic damage is changed to resistance instead.
- It loses any immunities to the following conditions: grappled, paralyzed, petrified, prone, restrained.
- Any abilities which rely on possessing a creature, or phasing into or through an object or creature cease to function.
At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the spell ends on the target.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target one additional undead for each slot level above 3rd level. The undead must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
