The caster creates a blue portal entrance at their current location. The caster's movement speed is doubled, and over the course of three rounds, they can place the exit anywhere up to 60 feet away from the entrance. While placing the exit, the caster cannot take any actions or bonus actions, except to cast Into the Void.
Any creature can use the portal, whether they be friend, foe, or neutral party. The portal will remain until the caster closes it as a bonus action.
At higher levels:
At level three the caster can place the exit 90 feet away. Once the caster reaches 15th level, they can place the portal however far away they want, although they are still limited by their movement speed and the natural limits of travel.
Once the caster reaches 5th level, the caster has 6 rounds to place the exit instead of 3, and they can place it 120 feet away. At 10th level, the caster has 12 rounds to place the exit, and they can place it 300 feet away. At 15th level, the caster has as much time as they need to place the exit.
