As a reaction to an attack or natural occurrence, you may attempt to catch lightning in a glass container. This negates any damage the lightning would normally deal. You must maintain concentration on keeping the lightning captured for the full duration or the container explodes dealing 2d6 Piercing Damage to you in addition to the full damage the spell would normally have dealt. You must succeed a Dexterity Saving Throw (DC 17) or be blinded by shards of glass from the bottle exploding. Maintaining concentration for the full duration allows you to use a free action to put your stopper on the bottle/ container. Once the lightning is trapped, the container becomes the magical item: Lightning in a Bottle.
Catching Lightning in a bottle is considered a very dangerous spell, and should be used with the utmost caution. A normal lightning bolt created by nature can deal immense amounts of damage as determined by your DM.
* - When you are about to be struck by lightning (magical or non-magical) ** - (A container made of glass with a stopper made of wax or other non-metal/ non-wood material)
