Burning blade

You summon a flaming longsword to your hand. You are automatically proficient in this weapon and you use your spellcasting ability modifier for attack and damage rolls made with it. The weapon deals 1d8 fire damage upon hit. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance. If you fall unconscious or the weapon otherwise leaves your hand, it is dispelled.

For each spell level after first which you cast this spell, the sword does an additional d8 fire damage.
