You trace a slashing motion through the air and sever reality itself. Each creature in a 60-foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d10 force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

A creature killed by this spell is severed in half.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d10 for each slot level above 7th.
