You conjure forth dark, oppressive clouds which appear to suck the light away. The clouds cover the sky in the shape of a cylinder that is 10 feet tall with a 60-foot radius, centered on a point you can see within range. The spell fails if you can't see a point in the air where the clouds could appear (for example, if you are in a room that can't accommodate the cloud).

The clouds turn bright light into dim light, and dim light into darkness within the area. Additionally, all non-magical light or source of fire, and any light from a spell of lower level has its effective radii halved whilst under the clouds. For example, a lit torch would only shed bright light for 10 feet, and dim light for an additional 10 feet. Additionally, the Daylight spell does not dispel the clouds.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the radius of the cloud increases by 20 feet for each slot level above 5th.
