Lightning burst out of the ground in a 15 ft. cone from your location in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 1d8 bludgeoning damage and 2d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save, the target is also unable to take reactions until the beginning of their next turn.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the lightning damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
