Adaptive Body

Your body starts to naturally adapt to any change that would harm it, but any adaptation takes 1 minute to take effect.  Only one adaptation can be active at any given moment, and the creature may choose which one is most suitable, or simply allow the body to determine what poses the greatest threat and choose accordingly. These adaptations include, but are not limited to:

Gills: Generates fish gills on the sides of your neck that allow you to breathe underwater.

Filtering Lungs: Filter out any poison delivered into the body either by the bloodstream or through inhaling, granting poison immunity.

Darkvision: In the event the creature can no longer see it develops cat-like eyes.

Glass Skin: Part of the creature's skin become glass-like and transparent, granting resistance to acid damage. This also causes it to become brittle and vulnerable to bludgeoning damage.

Layer of Blubber: An extra layer of fat is formed beneath the creature's superficial skin that gives it extra insulation and provides resistance to cold damage.

Photosynthesise: When hungry, the creature can sprout leaves from anywhere along it's body and perform photosynthesis in order to feed itself. In doing so, roots also sprout from anywhere touching solid ground and immobilise the creature while gathering necessary nutrients from the soil.

Insulator: The creature generates a thin layer of wood around any conductive organ within it's body, protecting it form electricity and receiving resistance to lightning damage.

Secretion: The creature begin to sweat profusely out of it's pores a substance that is incredibly hard to ignite, receiving resistance to fire damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, one additional adaptation can take place at the same time as others, up to 7 adaptations in total at 9th level.

* Other adaptations are given at the DM's discretion, but no healing can be adapted into the body.
