Drawing upon the energies of dying timelines, possible fragmenting realities now fading out of existence and being reabsorbed by the multiverse, you can take a fragment of that timeline, and shape it into an echo of yourself in your current reality. When you cast the spell, you shape a gray magical duplicate of yourself. It is a magical object with an Armor Class equal to 13 + the level of spell slot used for this spell. The echo must stand within 30 feet of you. The echo has 10 hit points, and uses your saving throw bonuses when forced to make a saving throw. When you cast a spell or make an attack roll with a weapon, you can have the spell or attack originate from the space the echo is occupying.
The echo remains until dispelled or it is reduced to 0 hit points. When your echo takes damage, you may take a reaction to cause the damage that the echo takes be transfered to you, instead of the echo. You may only have one echo at a time. If you cast this spell again before the previous echo has perished, the previous echo disappears, and the previous casting of the spell ends. As a bonus action, you may move the Echo up to 30 feet any direction. As a bonus action, you may dismiss the echo, and you regain hit points equal to the hit points the echo has currently.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the echo has 5 extra hit points per level of the spell slot above 4th level.

is this consistent with how critical role has done it? the material definitely doesn't
I don't watch Critical Role. This is just how I made the spell.
ah. Makes sense. I assumed it was because it was similar, the same level, and the same name.
isn't the material an onyx shard?
