You alter the physical properties of one nonmagical object, changing it from one substance into another. You touch one object composed entirely of wood, clay, stone, iron, copper, or silver transforming it into a different one of those materials. Alternatively, you may touch one object composed entirely of silver, gold, mithril or adamantine and transform it into a different one of those materials. This spell takes 10 minutes to cast for each 1 cubic foot of material.
If you concentrate on this spell for the full duration, the transformation becomes permanent and may only be reversed by another casting of this spell or the wish spell.
If you are using this spell to return an object to its natural material the casting time is reduced to one action and all instances of this spell effecting it are dispelled.
Any item under the effect of this spell may not be used as a material component.
