The enemies before Atrenu numbered in the hundreds. Only he stood between them and their goal. Atrenu had successfully forced them through a ravine - they walked shoulder to shoulder, sometimes struggling to walk at all, with how close they were.
Having played right into his hands, the legion could only watch as Atrenu delivered them unto their fate. Lightning coursed through his body, coalescing into a sphere in front of him. Those that could see the man saw that he was completely shrouded in the blue energy he conjured, eyes white as snow. He appeared to be less a man and more an effigy, an avatar of pure psychic might.
"Shul'zak Makh'nul!"
With those words, the sphere hurtled toward this legion, and as it drew close to each man, lightning reached out from it to greet him, and as it did, he turned to ash.
The enemies before Atrenu numbered in the hundreds. Now, with a single flick of his wrist, they numbered zero.
You focus psionic energy, orders of magnitude more potent than any other feat you have yet performed, into a sphere 20 feet in diameter (10-foot radius). You then hurl it in a line 1,000 feet long and twenty feet wide. Every creature in the line, as well as every creature within 30 feet of the line, must make a Charisma saving throw. Those within 30 feet of the line take 10d6 + 40 points of psychic damage, as tendrils of pure psychic energy reach out and strike them. Those within the line itself take 20d6 + 80 points of psychic damage. On a success, creatures take half as much damage (regardless if they are near the line or in it). Creatures reduced to 0 hit points by this spell are reduced to ash, as if by the disintegrate spell.
