The spell creates a duplicate of some chosen document, the spell can copy scrolls but not replicate magical inks, land titles and legal documents are s little harder to distinguish without detect magic. The caster need only touch the inscriptins to copy them not understand what they are or their meaning. A number of pages equal to the spell slot level used multiplies by the caster level may be copied at higher levels this means entire books.

Posted Oct 28, 2018This is a good idea, but since in a fantasy setting, being able to copy entire books at a time (which could be done in a short time with a cantrip cast every 6 seconds) could lead to a LOT of monetary income for a mage, I would suggest this be a 1st level spell, otherwise, exactly as you have it written. Besides, cantrips can't be cast with higher spell slots, since they don't use spell slots in the first place.
