Choose a number of sites on the same plane that, when straight lines are drawn between opposite portals, they share a single vertex. At each site and on the vertex, an arcane caster capable of casting 9th level spells casts this spell in precise unison. When the casting is finished, a permanent, fixed gateway appears at each point, all connected to a single network. Each gateway has a unique set of symbols, similar to a teleportation circle. A creature using the network may choose any set of symbols they know, either from a teleportation circle or another gateway, as their destination by fixing the symbols in their mind with a DC5 Intelligence check. On a failed check, the DM rolls a d6 in secret; on every result except a 1, the creature emerges from its destination as intended, but on a 1, the creature emerges from a randomly determined valid teleportation target on the same plane of existence. A creature fixated on a destination may use 5 ft of its movement to step through the portal, exiting within 5 ft of their desination. If the chosen destination is blocked, either physically or through magic, the creature instead exits within 5 ft of the portal they just stepped into.

Immediately after the spell is cast, each caster involved in the spell must make a DC20 Constitution saving throw. On a successful save, the caster gains five levels of exhaustion. On a failed save, the caster gains five levels of exhaustion and loses all of their spell slots for 4d4+3 days. If the save fails by 5 or more, the caster dies and leaves behind no corpse, becoming a permanent part of the Weave. Casters who die in this way can only be restored to life through divine intervention or by means of a wish spell.

The network cannot be broken by any magical effect below 10th level.

* - (for each site plus one for the vertex, 3 tons of marble worth at least 100,000 gp; 2,000 gp worth of gold dust; and one diamond worth 100,000 gp, all of which the spell consumes)
