A protective magical force surrounds the willing target, manifesting as a spectral form around it appropriate to the chosen totem. An air totem could be a bird, an earth totem a bear, etc.
The target gains 5 temporary hit points for the duration, and while they have these hit points they gain some additional benefits depending on the selected totem :
- Air - The target's walking speed increases by 10 feet and it can move as if it were flying on its turn but falls if it ends its turn in the air and nothing else is holding it aloft.
- Earth - The target has advantage on Constitution saving throws and can move across difficult terrain made of earth or stone without expending extra movement.
- Fire - The target has advantage on Strength saving throws and gains resistance to fire damage.
- Water - The target gains a swim speed equal to its walking speed, can breathe in both air and water, and gains resistance to cold damage
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the temporary hit points increase by 5 for each slot.
