Choose a target creature you can see within range. If the target can hear you and you share a language then it must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failure the creature takes 5d10 psychic damage and is charmed for the duration. Whilst charmed it is incapacitated as it ponders the meaning of a question. The question can be meaningless or incredibly deep, but regardless of the complexity, the creature can merely contemplate the question for the duration.
At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Intelligence saving throw. On a success, the spell ends on the target. On a failure it takes another 5d10 psychic damage and remains charmed and incapacitated.
A creature with an Intelligence score of 5 or less isn’t affected.
