After saying change now, a beam fires from the users mouth in the direction they are facing and any creature it hits gets body swapped with the user. This is permanent, but the user can still use the spell on a different target from the current body they are in. If the user uses it on a creature that cannot speak they cannot use change now from that body, because they cannot speak. Another way to use the spell is to have someone 5 feet from you to say change now(counts as the owner of the spells spell slot) for you to switch into their body.
All spells you have learned carry over if the body can use magic(cannot replace current spells), however everything else other than personality, memories, and languages do not carry over.
