As you cast this spell, you project your will onto the object held and affect the creature linked to the object. The creature must succeed a Charisma Save or be affected by the spell. Whilst affected, you may spend your Action to have the creature suffer one of the following effects.

  • The Creature takes 3d10 psychic damage. 
  • The creature becomes Restrained until the start of your next turn and takes 2d8 bludgeoning damage. 
  • The creature is moved 20ft in any direction of your choice and knocked prone. 
  • The creature must use its reaction to make a single melee attack against a creature adjacent to it
  • The creature becomes blinded and deafened until the start of your next turn

If the creature succeeds its initial save, the spell ends immidiately and the creature becomes immune to the spell for 24 hours. At the end of each of its rounds, the creature may reattempt the save. 

If you have acces to an object closely tied to a creature, the creature has disadvantage on saves against the spell. If you further have a lock of hair, a vial of their blood or something to that equivillant (DMs Discretion), you may cast it as a Ritual and affect a creature regardless of you having sight of the creature.
