Vengeful Transference

A large bolt of radiant energy flies from your hands to a target, transferring life force from the target to an ally you can see.. Make a melee spell attack against a creature within 40 feet of you. On a hit, the target takes 4d8 radiant damage, and an ally you can see regains hit points equal to half the amount of radiant damage dealt. 

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
