You weave a vision of a false future in the mind of one target creature that you can see within range. The target must make an intelligence saving throw, on a failed save the creature takes one course of action that you decide as you cast this spell at the beginning of it's next turn. You force the target to use one action on it's turn to attack, dash, drop it's weapons, or something that the target is able to successfully complete on it's turn. Telling the creature to attack it's allies or complete some obviously harmful act ends the spell. At the end of the target creatures next turn, or after 1 minute, the spell ends on the target and it takes 2d8 psychic damage. 

On a successful save, the target takes half damage immediately and this spell has no other effect. 

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
