You cause the mimic segment to assume a different form. The new form may not exceed the volume of a 5' x 5' cube. When you cast the spell, you may choose to make the mimic segment look and function similarly to a mundane item, piece of equipment, armor or weapon with the following exceptions:
It may not become a liquid that possesses any harmful, beneficial, or magical properties such as poisons, acids, or potions. It may not become anything with the possibility of creating a chemical reaction like a candle, oil, torch, or chemical compound like gunpowder. It may not become a complex machine, however simple machines are acceptable.
The spell can only be used once per day at level 1. You can cast this spell at level 2 to alter the mimic segment a second time per day. You can cast this spell at level 3 to alter the mimic segment for a third time per day. The Mimic segment maintains its form until it is altered again by this spell.
