You create an invisible sensor at a point that you can see within range that detects any living creature in a 20-foot radius sphere. Living creature within the sphere becomes known to you and cannot be hidden from you, creatures in the sphere appear as pulsating orbs in the location where their heart is, and you are able to hear a heartbeat by focusing on it as long as you are within the spell range and the creature remains in the sphere.
The spell can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.
