You conjure a simple sandstone object, such as a large fist or spike, and propel this at your target. When you create the object choose either Bludgeoning or Piercing - the object must take a shape that could reasonably deal that type of damage (a round ball would be bludgeoning but a spiked ball would be piercing, for example). Make a ranged spell attack against a creature or object you can see within range. On a hit the target receives 1d8 damage of the type you chose. Whether you hit or miss the object immediately disappears afterwards when the attack is resolved.
The spell can create more than one object when you reach higher character levels: two objects at 5th level, three objects at 11th level, and four objects at 17th level. You can launch the objects at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll and damage roll for each object - you choose the type of damage for each individual object created.
