You mentally control the Sword of Zariel for the duration of the spell or until you cast this spell again. When you cast the spell, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within 5 feet of the sword. On a hit, the target takes radiant damage equal to 3d10 + your spellcasting ability modifier. An evil creature that takes this radiant damage must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn. The sword sheds bright light in a 5-foot radius and dim light for an additional 5 feet. Fiends find the sword’s light disconcerting and painful, even if they can’t see it, and have disadvantage on attack rolls made within the weapon’s radius of bright light.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the sword up to 60 feet and repeat the attack against a creature within 5 feet of it.
While this spell is active, you cannot use the Sword of Zariel to perform regular melee attacks.
