Upon casting this spell, you are able to gain knowledge from your surroundings. You may declare one thing or event that may have happened in the past that you wish to learn more about or you have the option of not declaring anything at all. Upon finishing the casting of a ritual the target of this spell is shown a vision of an event or series of events that have taken place in the surrounding area of 100 ft. If the caster does not declare the DM determines what is shown, but the tale will always be exactly as it happened. If the caster declares a specific event or events then the caster may make a spellcasting check using their casting modifier to determine what is shown. Refer to the following to determine what is shown based on their roll:
1-5: The target is shown a vague shifting after image of the event, unclear and blurred only for a short period of time, not much is discernable.
6-10: The target is shown a somewhat unclear vision of what happened, but are unable to hear sound or move their point of view, things move quickly and blur out occasionally, and key details may be missing. A general image is apparent though.
11-15. The target is shown a vision of the event and they can hear sounds, though it is somewhat muffled and may be hard to understand at all times. They are able to look around the scenery, but their vision blurs for a few seconds after making it hard to discern specifics.
16-20+: The Target is shown a clear vision of the past of the declared event and can somewhat move about the event, they can hear and see clearly, and though moving does still blur their perception, they may be able to discern specifc people, places and objects if they recall them.
