As you utter the magical words for this spell, the air vibrates and several chains of force springs forth and binds a creature. Once bound, a creature must spend its Action to make a Strength against the spell DC or be Restrained until they make the save.
As long as you are Concentrating on the spell, you may spend your action to evoke the chains again, once again grabbing the creature.
Since the chains are made of pure arcane, they affect an interact ethereal and incorporeal creatures, such as ghosts, as if they were corporeal.
At Higher Level: If cast at a level beyond second, the chains deals 1d10 force damage to any creature that starts its turn and is restrained by the chains
A caster may alter the visage of this effect. For example, a Wizard amy conjure forth chains of shadow, whilst a Draconic Sorcerer will evoke chains matching their breath weapon.
