When a creature that you can see within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack or targeted by the magic missile spell, you can create an invisible barrier of magical force to protect them. Until the start of their next turn, the target has a +3 bonus to AC, including against the triggering attack, and they take no damage from the magic missile spell.

This spell is treated as the shield spell for other spells, and magical effects. If the targeted creature is already under the effects of the shield spell, this spell has no effect.
