You release a bolt of arcane energy starting from you that covers a line that's 100 feet long and 5 feet wide in a direction of your choice. Each creature in the path of the bolt must make a Dexterity saving throw or takes 5d6 force damage. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. Targets gain no benefit from cover for this saving throw.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
