You call upon the clouds themselves, and they will surround a cow, turning it into a couw, a mighty creature that will act as a loyal companion. A couw cannot be encountered in nature, and can only be created by use of this spell. The couw will live until it is killed. It has 10 hit points, and no hit die. Each attack made a couw requires you to roll 1d20, and the higher the number, the better the effect. A couw can only attack 1 opponent at a time. If the d20 rolls higher than the armor class, it hits. If you are proficient in animal handling or nature, you may add your proficiency bonus to the couw's roll. The following chart shows what happens when you roll a certain number (plus proficiency bonus), assuming you hit:
Roll 1-2: The couw misses the target completely and it evaporated (dies.)
Roll 3-4: The couw is catapulted twenty feet away from the owner of the couw, in the direction the couw was attacking (hit points lowered by 5.)
Roll 5-6: The couw begins to rain, lowering hit points by 3.
Roll 7-8: The couw is petrified. The only way to un-petrify the couw is to cast light upon the couw.
Roll 9-10: The couw forgets what it was going to attack, and just sits there.
Roll 11-12: The couw bites the opponent, dealing 1d4 damage.
Roll 13-14: The couw frightens the opponent.
Roll 15-16: The couw barks at the opponent, dealing 2d8+4 damage, and heals the owner of the couw 5 hit points.
Roll 17-18: The couw uses the spell meteor swarm on the opponent.
Roll 19: The couw call upon the sky, striking the opponent with lightning. The opponent must make a constitution saving throw and roll of 14 or higher to take one quarter damage, but if they fail, they must take 5d8 damage + owner of couw's AC.
Roll 20 (or higher): The cow glares at the opponent with the eyes of a storm, and instantly destroys the opponent. All armor and items are spared, but the body of opponent is disintegrated. If the opponent is a construct, the body will remain, but either way, the opponent's hit points are lowered to 0. Rolling 20 or higher will also heal everyone in the party completely.
