Unlike its counterpart spell Zone of Truth, "Zone" of lies encourages deception.
Choose a creature that you can see within range to make a Charisma saving throw equal to your spell save DC. Upon a failed save the creature is affected by the spell for the duration, regardless of whether it leaves its original area. On a failed, save, the creature cannot tell or indicate a deliberate truth. You know whether the creature succeeds or fails on its saving throw.
An affected creature is aware of the spell and can thus avoid answering questions to which it would normally respond with the truth. Such a creature can be evasive in its answers as long as it remains within the boundaries of a lie.
For each spell level above Level 3, you can target 1 additional creature.
