You add a detail to the story that works to your advantage, manipulating the laws of fate and causality to warp reality to your will to a certain extent. For example - you could 'coincidentally' have the right supplies for a job, or have an ally in some place in a dramatically right moment; you might find a secret door that lets you escape from enemies, or 'remember' that you know someone who owns a boat and is willing to help the party cross the ocean.
You may add some element to the setting or situation that the group (including the DM) must accept as true, rewriting reality if necessary. There are, however, extensive limitations to the capabilities of this spell.
- You cannot directly cause harm with it.
- You cannot cause major natural disasters.
- You cannot replicate spells or class features
- You cannot magically summon creatures.
- You cannot find a magic item (unless the DM allows it for story pusposes).
The DM can set other restrictions depending on what you're trying to do - and one must remember the level of the spell when trying to warp reality. This is not the Wish spell. The DM can also feel free to add any complications to the event should they see fit.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level and higher, the more powerful and influential the warp can become and the less restrictions begin to apply less. However, what the spell can achieve is still ultimately down to the DM depending on what level you cast the spell.
