A loud blast of thunderous force erupts from your mouth as you scream. This scream is audible out to 300 feet, but each creature in a 30-foot cone must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure a creature takes 5d8 thunder damage and is deafened for 1 minute. On a success a creature takes half as much damage and is not deafened.

A creature deafened by this spell can make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the condition early on a success.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, both the damage and the size of the cone increase for each slot level above 4th. The damage increases by 1d8 and the size of the cone increases by 5 feet per slot.
