Damage/Effect

You create a visual effect around yourself. The effect can be almost anything. You could have, for example, flower petals or leaves swirling around you, or rain falling down, bubbles always floating up, or a wisps of colours, or look as if you are on fire. You could have the effect just around your whole body, or swirl around over your skin. Whatever the effect is it is an illusion, it cannot interact with anything physically and is visual only - it does not produce heat or sound, etc. The illusion cannot obscure you at all and cannot provide any assistance in helping you to hide. The illusion cannot alter the appearance of something already there: it cannot make your hair or skin or eyes a different colour, change how your clothes appear, and it cannot make you look like anything or anyone else. The illusion must be simple in nature and must always be moving: butterflies fly around, even those that land on the skin will slowly move their wings, this illusion cannot create static imagery.

You can have the illusion seem to interact with the environment: for example if you had swirling feathers or leaves, they might seem to be blown around when somebody tries to touch them, or if you sit in a chair and have the effect of butterflies, they might land on edges of the chair. These interactions can be automatic. However, people who suspect it is illusion, rather than some other magic, can make an intelligence check against your spell save DC to determine it is illusionary. Knowing it is an illusion, however, changes nothing.

You can have the illusion show lights and if you do it creates, at most, dim light out to a range of 5 ft.

The effect of the illusion occurs in your space and moves with you, it can be animated and you can change that animation as you want, no action required: for example, if you want the rising bubbles to now fall from above, if you want to change the speed of the leaves or petals, have the butterfly land on your finger, etc. If you wish to change the effect itself (the bubbles, the leaves, etc) you will need to cast this cantrip again.

The effect might be able to assist in some social situations requiring a Charisma check - as using a fiery aura when intimidating or something pleasant when trying to be persuasive, or as a visual boost to performance. The Dungeon Master will decide if the boost is appropriate. If they do you may add +2 to the check.

The actual illusory aura effect is yours to describe but no matter your choice this illusion can never be used to hide from or deceive.others. It is a purely cosmetic and harmless visual effect.

The spell lasts until dispelled but ends early if you drop to 0 hp, die or go unconscious. It also ends early if you cast this cantrip again. You can also end the effect early using an action.
