You focus on an item held by a target you can clearly see and snap your fingers. Targets makes a DC15 Constitution save. On a failed save, the weapon or object is instantly cooled to unbearable temperatures, and the target is forced to drop it (attributes such as target immunity vs cold damage have no impact on the success of the save). The item then snap-freezes the surface it lands on and becomes encased in ice for 1d6+1 rounds. The ice has AC 14 and 50 HP for purposes of thickness and breakability. On a successful save, nothing happens.

If cast as a 4th level spell or higher, the caster may attempt to snap-freeze the creature itself. Target must succeed on a DC18 Constitution save or be instantly encased in ice as outlined in the base version of the spell. The target suffers no other harmful effects as a result of the spell unless it has been encased for 1 minute, or 60 seconds. If the target needs to breathe, then at this point it begins to suffer from the effects of cold, taking 1d10 Cold damage per round from that point onward (Resistances may mitigate this as normal).
