White light spreads from a point you choose within range to fill a 15-foot-radius sphere for the duration. The light spreads around corners. Only you can see through the light and nonmagical darkness can't dissipate it it.
If the point you choose is on an object you are holding or one that isn't being worn or carried, the light emanates from the object and moves with it. Completely covering the source of the light with an opaque object, such as a bowl or a helm, blocks the light.
If any of this spell's area overlaps with an area of darkness created by a spell of 3rd level or lower, the spell that created the darkness is dispelled.
If you cast the spell using a 4th level spell slot or higher, you can designate creatures to be able to see through the light.
