Make a melee spell or weapon attack against a creature you can reach. On a hit, the target must succeed on a a DC 13 constitution saving throw, or take 6d6 necrotic damage and becomes poisoned. The diseased creature must repeat the saving throw every hour, taking an additional 6d6 necrotic damage on a saving throw. In addition, the creature's veins and bone become pitch black. The creature dies if they are reduced to zero hit points.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d10 for each slot level above 1st.
