You point at a creature engulfing it in a radiant flame. Choose a creature that you can see within range to make a Charisma saving throw or take 1d10 radiant damage. If the creature is a fiend or undead, increase the damage die to 1d12 and if the creature is a non evil aligned celestial, the damage die decreases to 1d8. This spell counts as eldritch blast for any option or enhancement that applies to the eldritch blast spell such as the warlock's eldritch invocations.
The spell creates more than one flame when you reach higher levels: two flames at 5th level, three flames at 11th level, and four flames at 17th level. You can direct the flames at the same target or at different ones. Each creature must make a separate saving throw for each flame.
