You set a small camouflaged deadly hive structure against unwanted intrusion. Until the spell ends a small-sized hive is buried into the ground of an unoccupied space, whenever a Tiny or larger creature touches or enters the warded area within 5 ft of the hive trap the creature must make a Constitution saving throw or become poisoned and take 1d4+ your wisdom modifier in poison damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. At the end of each of the poisoned creatures' turns, the creature must continue to make constitution saving throws or remain poisoned. On a successful Constitution save the creature is no longer poisoned. Once the hive trap activates you receive a mental alarm and the hive releases caustic bees to attack nearby creatures then disappears within the same turn.

When you cast the spell, you can designate creatures that won't set off the trap, the mental alarm alerts you with a ping in your mind if you are within 1 mile of the warded area. This ping awakens you if you are sleeping. A successful Wisdom (Perception) check against your spell save dc will reveal the hidden hive trap.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the acid damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st.

You can also spend 10 minutes to ritual cast this spell at first level.
