You can cast this spell only when you are near a significant body of water. A 5 ft radius, 30 ft tall cylinder of swirling water surges upwards and forms on the surface of water you can see within 120 ft of you. The whirlpool tornado can move onto land. The whirlpool tornado lasts as long as you maintain concentration, for up to 5 minutes. Any creature but you that enters the whirlpool tornado must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be restrained by it. You can move the whirlpool tornado up to 60 feet as an action, and creatures restrained by the whirlpool tornado move with it. The whirlpool tornado ends if you lose sight of it. A creature can use its action to free a creature restrained by the whirlpool tornado, including itself, by succeeding on a DC 18 Strength check. If the check succeeds, the creature is no longer restrained and moves to the nearest space outside the whirlpool tornado.
Creatures restrained inside the whirlpool tornado take 1d8 bludgeoning damage per round. If a creature is still restrained inside the whirlpool tornado after 1 minute, it drowns. A drowned creature's hit points instantly drop to zero, and it must make death saving throws.
You can use this spell for fast movement, by casting it near you, and getting inside the whirlpool tornado. You will be transported to stand on the top of the whirlpool tornado, and can direct its movement while you ride it, to move up to 60 ft per round. Only you can ride the whirlpool tornado.
