This spell can only be cast as a ritual, which takes 1 hour to complete and involves the wizard burning 500 gp worth of ruby dust in a brass brazier at dawn after a full moon. Upon casting of this ritual and for the next minute, a soft blue heatless flame wreathes the wizard's hand. During that time the wizard can touch any ready fuel source and enchant it. The fuel source will instantly light as though struck by normal means. The target can be anything that would normally be set alight to burn (i.e. candles, fireplaces, campfires, torches, lanterns, braziers) and has a ready fuel source. The flame sheds light and heat as a normal flame of its size, but does not consume the fuel upon which it is cast. The flame otherwise acts as a normal flame, producing heat and consuming oxygen. Since the flame provides heat and will burn objects placed in it, the flame cannot be covered. The flame can be smothered or extinguished like a normal fire, and if someone smothers the flame it will go out normally. The flame will burn eternally or until the fuel source is destroyed, the flame is smothered or otherwise extinguished.
As a bonus action the wizard who enchanted the source can douse or reignite the flame. If the flame is not lit by the caster again within 1 year, the enchantment is lost.
