You can choose one event that could possibly happen in the future, and fix the outcome of that event. This event can be an ability, save or attack roll that any target makes in the future. You specify the target, environment, situation and the desired action you wish to affect of the event you choose. You then roll a d20 to determine the outcome, which the DM will reveal to you after adding the circumstantial bonuses to that roll. The spell does not reveal any information about the future, as it is triggered by the description of the event which you describe.
When the stipulations of your event are fulfilled, the roll you made at the casting of the spell will take effect. You also have advantage on the all ability, saves or attack rolls against the target for 1 round. For each slot level higher you cast the spell, you may add an additional event within 120 ft of the initial target.
